This Privacy Policy describes how PhantomNote ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the PhantomNote website (https://phantomnote.co), create an account, purchase a license, or use the PhantomNote macOS application (collectively, the "Service").
1. Information we collect
Account information
When you sign up, we collect your email address, name (optional), and a hashed version of your password. We do not store plain-text passwords.
Payment information
Payments are processed by Creem, our payment provider. We do not store full credit card numbers on our servers. Creem may collect billing details, transaction IDs, and related payment metadata. Please review Creem's privacy policy for how they handle payment data.
License and device information
When you activate PhantomNote on your Mac, we may process account identifiers, license status, and optional device identifiers to validate your purchase and prevent unauthorized use.
App content
Notes and scripts you create in the PhantomNote macOS app are stored locally on your device by default. We do not upload your note content to our servers unless a future cloud-sync feature is explicitly offered and enabled by you.
Website and technical data
We may automatically collect standard log data such as IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps for security, fraud prevention, and service reliability.
Waitlist and marketing
If you join our waitlist or contact us, we collect the information you submit (such as email and name) to respond and send product updates you opt into.
